We have joined forces with the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) Sacramento to support the women and families at Trellis Gardens with our recent Thanksgiving Food Drive. The Trellis Gardens Housing Program is designed to further Women’s Empowerment’s efforts to end homelessness — one woman, one family, at a time. This transitional workforce housing program provides subsidized housing and support to working graduates of Women’s Empowerment’s Job-Readiness & Empowerment Program and their children who cannot yet achieve market-rate rent.

Thanks to all who contributed to our Thanksgiving food drive! 24 turkeys and about 30 pies were collected along with all the fixings! Half to were donated to Trellis Gardens and half to the Sierra Arden Neighborhood Food Closet.
